Police tracking "audacious" Stokenchurch bank robbers
POLICE hunting a pair of “audacious” bank robbers have released further details about this week’s Stokenchurch raid.
Two men entered the Lloyds Bank brach in Church Path on Monday at around 9.10am, pushing the staff into the building and demanding the safe to be opened.
They assaulted two female staff members and removed all the cash from the safe.
After unsuccessfully trying to add to their haul from the ATM, the robbers fled in separate vehicles.
Police have not confirmed how much cash the men got away with.
Investigating officer Det Con Matt Kent said: “This was an audacious attack, carried out in broad daylight which left members of staff severely shaken.
“We would urge anyone who was near the bank in Stokenchurch at that time and may have seen something to do with this incident to please contact us.”
The suspects are described as black, aged 25 to 40 years old, about 6ft, with broad, athletic builds.
They were dressed in dark clothing, one carrying a black bag, one carrying a red postal style bag.
However, no description of the getaway cars is available.
If you have any information please contact Det Con Kent via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
