A MAN needed hospital treatment after being assaulted in a pub car park in High Wycombe on New Year’s Day.

Police said the 46-year-old was assaulted in the car park of the Bird in Hand in West Wycombe Road between 9pm and 10pm.

He sustained what is described as serious facial injury which required hospital treatment.

Officers say the man who assaulted him is Asian and of a large build.
