WITH the twelfth day of Christmas upon us today, festive trees will be falling in their droves across homes in south Bucks – and you still have the chance to get recycling.

Residents of the Wycombe district are being reminded that real Christmas trees can be cut into smaller pieces and put into green recycling bins or reusable bags.

Alternatively they can be taken to household waste recycling centres or one of the following garden centres taking part in this year's recycling scheme: Notcutts Garden Centre, Clay Lane, Booker; Bourne End Garden Centre, Hedsor Road, Bourne End; West Wycombe Garden Centre, Chorley Road, West Wycombe; Studley Green Garden Store, Wycombe Road, Studley Green; Marlow Garden Centre, Pump Lane South, Little Marlow.

Residents are also reminded to check on their waste collection calendars to find out when their next pick-up will be, with dates having been amended over the festive period.

Any wrapping paper and greetings cards you may have left over can be recycled in the paper and card recycling box, unwanted clothes can be put into red textile sacks - or taken to a charity shop.

Garden waste bins and reusable bag collections will be suspended this coming week, resuming from January 13.
