AN AMATEUR dramatic club from Bourne End will be extending the festive pantomime season this month with their performance of Ali Baba and the forty thieves.

Members of the Bourne End club will be taking on the roles of Ali, Cassim, Baba and a dwindling band of thieves led by Sheikh Mustafa Leikh.

Forum Players secretary, Leigh Robinson said: “We are very lucky with the members we have got. Most of the performers are young and we have been able to watch them flourish.”

Forum Players believe the show is for the whole family and ‘Kamil the camel’ is likely to be a fan favourite with children.

Mrs Robinson, from Bourne End, added: “Last year we had trouble with snow, now it’s flooding, but hopefully everyone will still be able to make it in for the shows.”

There will be shows on January 18 and 25 at 2.30pm and 6.30pm, plus a Sunday show at 2.30pm on January 19 and a free show for senior citizens on January 15 at 8pm.

Tickets are £9 for adults, £7 for concessions and £28 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Tickets are available from Bourne End Library, Wakeman Road. For more information call 01628 523291.
