WEST-END stars of the future from schools in Beaconsfield are pooling their talent for an upcoming production of one of the biggest hits in musical theatre.

Pupils from Beaconsfield High School and The Beaconsfield School are joining forces to present ‘We WIll Rock You’, the shows based on the music of Queen, next month.

Set in a dystopian future where music and individuality are outlawed, the story follows young hero Gallileo on his quest to free the people from the clutches of the evil Killer Queen.

Jodie Fletcher, co-director and head of drama at Beaconsfield High, said: “It has been amazing to work with colleagues and students from across the schools, giving the show a real community feel.

“From the first auditions we have been absolutely blown away by the amazing talent; the audience can expect some jaw-dropping vocal performances, a band of phenomenally talented musicians and spirited performances.”

The show, set to run at the Beaconsfield School on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8 at 7pm, also features a live band playing classic Queen songs.

There is also a matinee performance on Saturday at 2pm. Tickets are priced £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. Contact The Beaconsfield School on 01494 673450 for tickets.
