TICKETS are now available for an exclusive fundraising event in aid of Marlow Rowing Club, due to be hosted by Sir Steve Redgrave.

The star-studded bash at the Crowne Plaza hotel is the centrepiece of the club's Fire Fund appeal to generate the remainder of the funds needed to replace its riverside club house, destroyed by fire in 2011.

The President’s Celebrity Dinner and Auction on Friday, March 7 will also feature Olympic gold medallists Matthew Pinsent, Katherine Grainger and Naomi Riches.

Prizes include a chauffeur-driven trip to see Sir Steve’s appearance on BBC’s Question of Sport, a chance to caddy for the five-time Olympic champion and a stay in Sir Steve’s luxury Penthouse in Marbella.

Club press officer Lynne Moran said: "This is a major event of Marlow Rowing Clubs 2014 calendar to raise vital funds to complete the build of the new MRC clubhouse.

"It is a one-of-a-kind event and a fantastic chance for corporate businesses and members of the public to come and rub should with the world of celebrity sporting stars"
