A CAMPER van holiday, theatre tickets, John Lewis vouchers, spa treatments, car repairs and festival tickets are just some of the prizes up for grabs at a Marlow fundraising bash next month.

Full-time nanny Olivia Evans has organised a valentines evening at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on February 14 to generate cash towards her bid to run the London Marathon in April.

Olivia must raise £2000 to participate for MacMillan Cancer Support, after vowing to finish the 26-mile street course in memory of her uncle, who died from cancer.

She said: "My uncle was diagnosed with cancer and died within weeks, but McMillan nurses were there for him morning, noon and night.

"I was determined to do something to help and after watching the marathon on TV I decided I was going to do it.

"I have never run further than 6 miles so a 26.6 mile marathon really is going to be a challenge but I am 100% I will cross that finishing line, even if I am crawling to the end!"

The 28-year-old mum of one, who lives in Downley, is organising the event single-handedly, with sponsors including Volkswagen pledging support to her cause.

A raffle and auction with over 25 prizes will accompany the evening of food, drink and dancing featuring a live DJ.

Twitter sensation and mystery street artist Street Art Drop will also be making an appearance and donating artwork to the cause.

Tickets cost £30 each, and are available by calling Olivia on 07590 434691 or livandlee29@yahoo.com
