A BEACONSFIELD pub is celebrating a triple success after it was officially recognised as a tourist attraction for being one of Britain's 'Great Country Pubs'.

The Red Lion in Knotty Green was granted the accolade following a recent visit by Tourism South-East officials and follows a recent ‘Great British Pub Award’ for the best entertainment pub in London and the South East.

The pub’s landlady, Tina Massie, has also been named in the Independent on Sunday's 2013 'Top 100 Happy List', recognising “100 Brits for their work in making the country a happier place”.

Landlady Tina Massie, said: “I'm absolutely thrilled and delighted, especially as it's recognition for all the hard work the staff put in to make The Red Lion a welcoming, proper local, with great food and drink, great service and great entertainment".

The pub on Penn Rd in Knotty Green stages many events, including a weekly Tuesday Open Mic Night, a Friday Night Live Music, as well as a monthly charity karaoke, guitar and harmonica nights.
