MARLOW High Street will soon have two new additions after a pair of national retailers announced plans to open up stores over the next few weeks.

Clothing chain Jigsaw have snapped up the vacant space on the High Street left by Leightons Opticians and is set to open its doors on March 5.

And French bistro chain Cote Brasserie has confirmed it will launch its 48th cafe/restaurant in the spring, with the exact location yet to be announced.

Jigsaw, which will offer a range of womenswear and accessories, was keen to take up the vacancy in what was once the post office after scouring the High Street for a suitable location.

Spokesman Roz Mayers said: "Jigsaw have been looking for a shop in Marlow for some time as it is such a great area for our brand and the high street is really quite unique.

"Also the free 1hr parking will be a real boon with our popular click and collect service."

The opening of Cote, which offers what it calls "reasonably priced" French bistro cooking, will create around 40 jobs.

The chain will hold a rectuitment drive art Marlow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday, March 7 between 2pm and 6pm, looking for everything from chefs to front of house staff.

Harald Samuelsson, Cote joint managing director, said: "We are very much looking forward to opening up our new restaurant in the heart of Marlow and introducing our unique dining experience to the town.

"It is a vibrant place with huge economic potential."
