MARLOW’S Higginson Park will be partially re-opened to the public this Saturday despite fears it would be closed for the weekend because of contaminated waters.

The café in the park has been given permission to re-open for business tomorrow.

However, the river levels are still high and several areas of the park remain submerged or waterlogged.

The children's' play area is still closed as the equipment is being cleaned and disinfected.

The facilities are expected to be available again from next Wednesday.

Wycombe District Council had earlier said the park would be closed all weekend.

My guess is that if anyone gets sick after going for a visit they'll be able to sue the back bottom end out of the council?

For one I think it'll be best left for another 2 weeks afore one foot is placed...

We all know there's a chance of contamination as there is if you walk anywhere animals or travelers have been. If people, nevertheless, go to the park then it is at their sole risk. I'd certainly hope that a suit against the council would fail.
