AN INDEPENDENT opticians which last year celebrated a quarter of a century in Marlow has united with another familiar High Street face.
Insight Opticians, which opened in 1988, has vacated its store on Marlow High Street to merge with Leightons at its existing premises on the same street.
The team will offer the same services and all customer records will be transferred to the new shop.
Optometrist Martin Lloyd said: "We’re pleased to announce that as from 6th January 2014 Leightons and Insight Opticians in Marlow are becoming one.
"It’s a marriage that unites our two brands, connects our people, and celebrates the union of professional eye care and hearing services under one roof."
Last week’s Marlow Free Press mistakenly identified Leightons as the business to be vacating the shop at 41 High Street, which will soon open as clothing retailer Jigsaw.
It is in fact Insight which has left to enter the merger from the existing Leightons shop at 73 High Street after the shops combined to become Leightons Insight Opticians.
We are happy to set the record straight, and apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused.
