FRIDAY will be the last chance for people in Beaconsfield to make their feelings about the Wilton Park development known.

The consultation period for the ‘Development Brief Supplementary Planning Document’ finishes Friday evening at 5pm.

Chairman of the Wilton Park Watch, Mike Elliott, said: “It is an excellent opportunity for people in the area to make their opinions known.

“It is the biggest thing to happen to Beaconsfield in a generation.”

The Wilton Park development has been a contentious issue for people in the area. It is a formerly owned MOD site which has been sold to developers Inland Homes.

The development could see 250-350 new homes, a new community hub and the possibility of the first stage of a relief road to London End being built.

Mr Elliott added: “I hope all views are taken into account and considered.

“I am optimistic (about the consultation). The previous consultation in July modified proposals in a positive way and I hope it can do the same again.”

Paper copies of the consultation documents are available across Beaconsfield including at the Town Council, the Library, and at the South Bucks District Council offices.
