A NEW attraction which was first put on display outside Windsor Castle as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Coronation has been unveiled at the Berkshire College of Agriculture.
Six Coronation arches stood on Windsor Castle’s Long Walk last September and one has now been given to the college in return for a five year student bursary as part of a Coronation Legacy Fund.
Principal Gillian May said: “This is such an exciting partnership opening a host of opportunities for our young people and staff, the arch symbolises for us the combination of creativity and nature.”
All six arches are being sold to raise money for the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society’s Coronation Legacy Fund, a bursary which will sponsor a young deserving person through horticultural college every year, for the next 60 years.
The Governor and Constable of Windsor Castle Air Marshal Ian Macfadyen, performed the ceremony at the Burchetts Green College of further education, earlier this month.
