AN EXHIBITION looking at where to build up to 10,000 new homes and businesses in the coming years travelled to Marlow this morning.

Wycombe District Council will establish its Local Plan to identify where to accommodate the growth needed across the district by 2031.

And as part of the consultation process, the council roadshow is open at Marlow’s Court Garden leisure complex until 5.30pm this afternoon.

Members of WDC’s planning team will be on hand to answer questions on what the plan might mean for the Marlow area.

And tonight from 7pm, Shelley Theatre plays host to a workshop style meeting chaired by Marlow councillor Neil Marshall, cabinet member for Planning and Sustainability.

Though much of the land surrounding Marlow is classified as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, councillors admit part of the growth may mean building on Green Belt land in the Bourne End and Wooburn area.

Marlow could also see a major new business centre near Westhorpe Park.
