A HIGH Wycombe man will be cycling 26 miles every day during Lent to raise money for a children's hospital.
Paul Gould, 51, started his challenge to ride 1,200 miles today and hopes to raise at least £1,200 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
The West Wycombe Road resident is riding for his partner, Di's, six-year-old grandson, George.
George started having problems when he was four and in 2012 was diagnosed with fast-growing B-cell lymphoma (cancer of the B-cells) in his abdomen. Further tests revealed he had a rare condition called XLP immune deficiency.
George, who has two siblings, Sophie and Ella, received treatment and is now doing well.
Paul who works at Kurt Mueller, Ltd, started cycling for charity a few years ago but this is his biggest challenge yet, which will last until Easter.
He is doing the cycle every day after his ten hour work shift.
