A BUSY road was closed during rush hour this morning after a car came off the carriageway and hit a tree.

Abbey Barn Lane, whch links Flackwell Heath and Wycombe Marsh, was closed for around two hours after the incident, which left a man trapped in his car.

Police confirmed the collision took place near the junction with Daws Hill Road at around 8.45am.

Firefighters also attended the scene, with two crews from High Wycombe releasing the man from the car.

Police reopened the road at 10.43am.

The injured man has been transferred to Wexham Park Hospital.
