A CONTROVERSIAL pizza takeaway is gearing up to open its doors in Marlow next month.
Domino's Pizza, which is moving in to the empty Blockbuster premises on West Street, has confirmed it will deliver its first pizzas in April.
The plans drew fierce criticism from residents and town societies, with complaints over parking problems and the detrimental impact of a takeaway in the largely traditional surroundings.
Marlow Society Chairman Martin Blunkell was one of a number of opponents expressing concerns over parking, and said a fast food shop would detract from the shopping quality of one of Marlow's two main streets.
The takeway, which was approved by planners at Wycombe District Council in October, will create around 20 jobs.
