PUPILS and teachers at a Gerrards Cross school dressed up as their favourite animal book characters last week to celebrate World Book Day.

The boys and staff at Thorpe House Pre-Prep School dressed up as many different characters including Dalmatians and the Gruffalo.

English Co-ordinator and Year 1 teacher Mr Devlin, said: “We have had a fantastic book week this year and all the children and staff have worked hard to make it so successful.

“This year both the boys and staff came to school dressed up as their favourite animal characters from literature and made brilliant efforts with their outfits”.
