Lifeboat fundraisers collect over £300
LIFEBOAT fundraisers have donated over £300 after they went around the Eden Centre collecting for a special anniversary.
The High Wycombe Lifeboat team raised £335 for the lifeboat organisation in celebration of the 190 years since Grace Darling set out in her boat to rescue shipwrecked sailors and the organisation was formed.
One of the collectors, Ernest Neill, said: “We are all really pleased. We would have liked to have raised a lot more money, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow.”
They collected the money around town on Thursday, Friday and Tuesday and have since sent the money to the lifeboat headquarters.
