A COMEDY night is being held this weekend in Winchmore Hill to raise money for a skin condition charity.

Jonathan Price has organised the evening on Saturday to raise money for DEBRA, which is a national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.

The 37-year-old is running the London Marathon for the charity, which is close to his heart as his friend lost his daughter to the condition when she was just five weeks old.

Jonathan said: "The whole thing was tragic. It has been a very difficult time. That is what has driven me to do it."

He will be running the marathon on April 13 and said training has been going well.

The money raised from the comedy night will go towards his fundraising target of £3,500.

Otiz Cannelloni will be headlining whose biog rates him as the modern day Tommy Cooper, Junior Simpson will be the first act and compering the evening will be Mark Smith who has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News.

There is also a raffle with £1,000 worth of prizes.

Ticket price is £18 to include all three comedians and the food during the interval which will be Slow Roasted Confit of Duck with Spring Onion Mash, Port and Orange Sauce or Thai Salmon Fishcakes, New Potatoes and Citrus Dressing. It is on Saturday at 8pm at The Potters Arms in Winchmore Hill.
