OLYMPIC Gold Medallist, Katherine Grainger, will be the guest of honour at a Beaconsfield restaurant this month, in support of a charity.

Dr Grainger OBE, will attend the Charity Dinner and Auction at The Beech House bar and restaurant on Tuesday, March 25, in support of the charity, Springboard.

The Springboard Charity helps young people achieve their potential, nurtures unemployed people of any age into work and helps alleviate poverty by supporting disadvantaged and underprivileged people.

The four-time Olympic medallist and London 2012 Gold Medallist will talk about her life and will also answer questions about her career during the evening.

A Beech House spokesman said: “We are very excited that Katherine has agreed to support our charity dinner – which will also celebrate our first year in Beaconsfield.

“She was an inspiration at the 2012 Olympics and guests will have the rare opportunity to ask her about her successful sporting career, as well as her academic one.

“We are also holding an auction – and among the prizes up for grabs is a three course dinner for up to 20 guests cooked by our Head Chef in the highest bidder’s home.”

Tickets will cost £50 and include a Champagne and Canapé reception and a gourmet three course meal.
