THE Wye Valley School’s academy switch had been delayed.
Although the school planned to become an academy school on April 1, the move has now been postponed.
In a letter home to parents, the school said the delay was caused because “all parties (Local Authority, Interim Executive Board, Department for Education, and the Academy Trust (the sponsor) have not yet completed to their mutual satisfaction the financial, contractual and legal due diligence required.”
The letter went on to assure parents delays in this process are common because the legal and financial agreements are often complex and time consuming.
The letter added that all parties remain committed to the conversion, which would see Wycombe High remain as a sponsor to the school.
