A RESTAURANT in Marlow is offering budding food writers a chance to win a free meal in exchange for writing a review of its new eatery.

Thai restaurant Giggling Squid, which opened last month, is running the promotion in conjunction with the Guild of Food Writers Young Food Writer Competition 2014.

It is inviting youngsters to send them their entries for a chance to win a complimentary meal for four at the West Street restaurant, which recently underwent a £300,000 overhaul from its previous guide as Pachangas.

Aimed at aspiring young writers who have a real interest in food and writing, the competition is open to anyone aged 11 to 18.

Run in parallel with the Guild’s competition, the Thai chain, which now has ten restaurants, is encouraging entrants to choose the Marlow restaurant as the subject of their article.

Guild competition entries must be sent to jonathan@gfw.co.uk by Monday 12 May 2014, with a copy sent to info@gigglingsquid.co.uk marked 'GFW competition' to be in with a chance of winning the free meal.
