PLAYING football with a twist has helped Freemasons from Beaconsfield raise over £1000 for numerous local charities.
Inside giant inflatable ‘bubbles’ the local representatives raised money for a host of charities.
People from the 23 lodges and 10 chapters at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre in Windsor End took part in the event.
Organiser, Denver Lynn, said: “Freemasons have been championing friendship, decency, and charity for the last 300 years or so, and it is therefore challenging to come up with something new.
“But bubble football really ticks all the boxes. The players initially couldn’t stop laughing, but gradually they became more competitive and physically challenging, just like in the more conventional version of the game.
He added: “I am still counting the bruises.”
