A BUCKS charity is looking for independent living mentors to help look avoid homelessness.

Connection Floating Support is a charity offering housing related support across Bucks.

The group work with vulnerable people to help them avoid homelessness and achieve independence, providing a flexible, home visit based service to those living in owner occupied or rented accommodation.

To enable the charity to help more people for longer, volunteers are needed to act as Independent Living Mentors, who can visit clients on a weekly or fortnightly basis and may assist with a variety of tasks such as budgeting, opening letters, basic cooking skills, accessing training or employment or accompanying clients to appointments or social activities.

No qualifications or experience is necessary, all we ask is that you are non judgmental, reliable and trustworthy. Training is provided and travel expenses are covered.
