OLYMPIC stars of the future from Marlow Rowing Club got a taste of fellow members’ successes last weekend by winning gold at the scene of Team GB’s London 2012 triumphs.
The club clinched two golds at the Oarsport Junior Sculling Head event at Eton Dorney, where members Katherine Grainger and Naomi Riches topped the podium two years ago.
Both the girls and boys 17 quad took the top spot in their respective competitions, with the club also winning two silvers and a bronze.
The winning boys quad consisted of Alex Haynes, Ted Treasure, Jason Burnap and James Moran.
Work on the new £2.5million Marlow Rowing Club headquarters is currently underway, with the riverside watersports hub due to be completed in the autumn.
