THERE was a flash mob at a supermarket in Marlow yesterday, which included the town’s mayor.

More than 50 children joined Sainsbury's staff on the shop floor to entertain shoppers and raised £600 in one hour for Sports Relief.

The supermarket chain held flash mobs across the country yesterday to raise money for the BBC fundraiser.

And in Marlow employees were joined by John Johnny's Entertainment, 56 children from six schools and Marlow mayor, Suzanne Brown.

Deputy store manager, Kalyka Wintershaw, said: "It was amazing. We had a huge turn-out- there were lots of parents and members of the public watching.

"As a store, over the fundraising period we have raised over £3,500 and yesterday evening we raised £600 in one hour."

More than £51m was raised for charity during last night's live Sport Relief show. Sport Relief events continue to take place over the weekend.
