WATCH High Wycombe come alive with the type of party atmosphere associated with many of the world’s most famous carnivals.

Expect glamour, culture, parades and more at Bucks New University at the end of this month.

Carrying on from the success of the Wonderland/Underland event which took place last year, Bucks Live is holding this year's carnival event on Saturday, March 29.

It will comes in two forms; in the day a family themed carnival will be taking over Wycombe while the night will be transformed into a glamorous Venetian masquerade ball.

During the day there will be an array of funfair rides and games, an eclectic mix of world cuisines and many other activities for the whole family.

Throughout the event they will be serving up wine and cheese, a variety of crepes, authentic Italian pizza straight from a wood burning fire and even a special Louisiana food stall.

There will be multiple stages across the uni campus with bands and artists from the area and beyond.

The night time event will focus on the glamorous side of carnivals, with inspiration coming from the masquerade balls associated with the world famous Venice Carnival.

This 18+ event will have many artists performing, including Mischa and His Merry Men, with Mischa being able to boast Si Genaro, a contestant from the hit TV talent show The Voice as one of his Merry Men.

There will also be DJ sets from both students and professionals and burlesque dancers.

The daytime event will run from 10am till 5pm and the nighttime event from 8pm till 3am. In the daytime wristbands for unlimited fairground rides are £5, alternatively it will be £2 per ride without a wristband. And in the evening, while the event is free for Bucks students public tickets will be £7 in advance (available from seetickets.com), and £10 on the door.
