A NEW free exhibition has been launched at the Natural History Museum in Tring focusing on the killer instincts of animals.

The exhibition started on Monday and runs until July 6 and reveals what makes some animals armed and deadly.

It is based on the popular children’s book, Deadly!, by Nicola Davies and illustrated by Neal Layton.

The exhibition was launched on Monday with school pupils getting the first look, followed by a question and answer with Nicola.

Through the exhibition, people will discover the truth about the most dangerous creatures on earth and see real specimens of some fearsome predators including an African wild dog, sharks and crocodiles.

The museum houses stuffed animals collected by Lionel Walter Rothschild and is home to the world-class research and collections of the Natural History Museum's bird group.
