CHILDREN from schools across Beaconsfield took part in a 24-hour ‘Swimathon’ to raise money for charity last week.
School pupils and teachers took part in the fundraising event held at the swimming pool at Davenies School in Station Road for Sports Relief.
The event was organised by sports company Sports Nut, a group who work with children ‘nuts about sports’.
Before the event Sports Nut said: “We are relishing the challenge and appreciate having an opportunity to improve the lives of those less privileged than ourselves.
“It's fantastic that we're able to host an event that enables the local community to come together in such a worthwhile cause.”
