A HIGH Wycombe man hopes his idea of fish and chips flavoured popcorn will take first prize in an Empire cinemas competition.
Nick Sykes has been shortlisted in the competition to create a fantasy popcorn flavour.
Hundreds of entries have flooded in from across the country from people describing their dream popcorn flavour.
Empire cinemas has now shortlisted six flavours, including Nick's "Chippyfish" flavour.
Nick said: "It's been the nation’s favourite dish for hundreds of years. The fabulous taste of fish and chips, with a tang of vinegar and salt."
The most popular flavour will be created by Empire’s chief popcorn makers and will be sold for a limited period across the chain's cinemas this summer- one of which is in Cressex.
The public can now vote on their favourite flavour- the others shortlisted are Sunday roast, wasabi, margarita, banoffee pie and marshmallow.
Go to the Empire Cinemas Facebook page (empirecinemas.co.uk/facebook) to vote.
The winner will also win a year’s supply of cinema tickets and popcorn galore.
