A HEAVILY subsided road in Flackwell Heath is being fixed, almost three weeks after it was first closed.
A section of Carrington Avenue, near Chapel Road, has been cordoned off after inspectors felt it could be dangerous to leave it open.
Work has now begun to resurface that section of the road.
Work will include removing the old concrete slabs in Carrington Avenue and reconstructing the base layer and relaying the section with a new tarmac surface.
The work is expected to take up to a week to complete.
Residents had previously raised concerns that the road could be unsafe, but this work is likely to fix the problem which they have had for almost two years.
