A 16-YEAR-OLD from Great Marlow School has raised over £1500 by shearing her locks in front of her fellow pupils in the name of charity.
Alexandra Eden, lopped her 17-inch hair to raise money for Cancer Research UK, opting for a style like pop star Miley Cyrus.
And as well as doubling her target to pull in £1624.11 from friends and family, the brave A-Level student also hopes to donate her hair to make a wig for someone suffering from cancer.
She said: "It went very well, more people than I expected turned up. It just feels like I have my hair tied back. It looks a bit better when I've styled it!
"I raised £1326.11 and £298 in gift aid, So £1624.11 in total which is just over double my target so I'm really chuffed with that.
"I managed to make another £198 on the day, plus that also triggered many to go and donate in the days following which is great."
