WYCOMBE’S deputy police commander has reissued his appeal for donations of sports equipment to be shipped out to the Caribbean.
Chief Inspector Colin Seaton has been made a patron of the White Hall Police Youth Club in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, and is looking for donations of used or unwanted sports equipment.
The club has been running since 2011 and is trying to develop the sporting activities it provides to its 60 members, which are mostly young people under 25, in a bid to keep them off the streets.
Ch Insp Seaton said he has found a company willing to ship the equipment out to the Caribbean but he has urged any clubs, schools or individuals with any old kit to bring it in to the station in Queen Victoria Road.
