A CONTROVERSIAL teenage playing facility to be installed in Flackwell Heath has once again been delayed.

The Parkour facility in the Recreation Ground on Straight Bit road is yet to be built although it was originally expected to be in place for the Easter holidays.

Work on the facility will now start on Wednesday, April 23 and is likely to take two weeks before it can be officially opened.

It is believed work was originally delayed because of the bad weather in February.

Oh for the love of God, just build it already. You took away the skatepark unnecessarily, a waste of money! Build something for young people to use and enjoy!

I suppose this means the BFP believes it or they think it is believed generally by the common people in the vicinity - some things are too awe-inspiring to enquire into directly - they are ‘believed’ - no one can enquire into them using logic or reason (or a telephone call) - a bit like HS2 or the 11+ - no one seems able to explain - they just ‘believe’ in them - by faith alone.

it would be on the way, but had to be delayed during the school holidays due to the break in of the allotments & the tennis club. The insurance wouldn't cover the company if anything got damaged due to these two incidents during the holidays.
Not actually the councils fault on this one, you have to blame the 'yobs' who decided it was their right to cause damage to other facilities in the village.

Don't be horrid - this what they do if they do not have a youth club or parkour facility to consume their surplus energy you know.

Sadly delaying over another school holiday left children yet again without . Older teenagers have nothing to do and others from outside FH are bend on causing issues that should be policed better. Over 30 older teenager meet with cars on foot or bikes in the larger car park at the back of the old Supermarket at the weekends in the evenings. Where are the police? I only hope they don't use the car park on the Rec and have the new equipment removed like the old following complaints. We need more for the children of FH not delays and bits done here and there?

Sorry Bucks111, this was not done by teenagers outside the area, we have a pretty good idea who the culprits were & they are FH residents. There has been a lot of trouble in high leas avenue for the last few months & this is part of that.
We can't help delays, who would pay for any damage caused since the insurance company would refuse to over this time period. Work will start 23rd so will hopefully be complete by week ending 17th may
