A MAN from Flackwell Heath will take on the race of his life this weekend as he and a friend row in a Kayak for 125 miles over 24 hours.

Graham Finch, 38, who lives on Whitepit Lane, has taken part in many charitable sporting tests but his latest effort could be his toughest yet.

He said: “I didn’t realise quite how uncomfortable it was going to be to sit in a Kayak for such a long time.

“24 hours is going to push us to the limit, I need to be there for my friend if he wants to quit and he needs to be there for me if I want to quit."

Mr Finch will be rowing with friend Anthony Cullip, the two of them will set-off from Devizes Saturday at 9am and hope to have reached Westminster 24 hours later.
