COUNTESS Howe visited Amersham Hospital to mark the conclusion of one of Scannappeal's appeal.
The Brain Injury Unit Appeal raised £100,000 for patients recovering from brain injury such as a stroke or tumour.
Countess Howe, a patron of Scannappeal, saw how the specialist equipment and resources improved the rehabilitation of these patients, which has already been used 3,000 times to benefit local people.
Guests included major supporters of the appeal who saw demonstrations of the equipment and met clinicians who work in the unit.
Countess Howe also unveiled a plaque which lists all major supporters of the appeal and will be on permanent display in the unit.
