TEMPORARY traffic lights will be in place at the junction to the sports centre in Handy Cross as part of the building work.

Cable diversion works at the existing road junction into the sports centre starts on Tuesday, April 22 and are expected to take about four weeks.

Spokesman for Wycombe District Council, Catherine Spalton, said: "Traffic management (such as temporary traffic lights) will be in place during off-peak hours, which is likely to impact on your journey time to and from the sports centre and local neighbouring properties.

"We hope that it will have limited impact on the traffic flow on the A404 Marlow Hill.

"We’re sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but would ask that local residents, commuters and sports centre users please bear with us during these works - we’re preparing the site to start building the brand new, multi-million pound sports centre.
