A SPECTATOR at a charity football match at a High Wycombe school was punched in the face and hit around the head by two men.

The 23-year-old man became involved in a verbal altercation with someone playing for one of the teams at John Hampden Grammar School when he was attacked by two men.

The incident, which happened on Sunday, April 13, is being treated as assault by Thames Valley Police.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward as investigations continue.
