MOTORISTS have been warned of delays as a section of the busy A40 is resurfaced this week.
Transport for Buckinghamshire began ‘plane and patching’ the London Road between Hammersley Lane and Rayners Avenue this morning.
The work will be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm, with the resurfacing expected to be finished by Thursday.
Temporary traffic lights will be used during lane closures, TfB said.
Signs were put up along the stretch of road about a month ago warning motorists that the ‘road surface had failed’.
TfB resurfaced large swaths of the A40 last summer but the strip between Hammersley Lane and Rayners Avenue was untouched.
