TRAVELLERS have moved onto private land in Loudwater, with an eviction notice reportedly set to be served against them.
Police said the travellers have parked 15 caravans on the site, near Boundary Lane, although they told officers they will be leaving the site soon and are only staying for a wedding.
It is believed they have been there since Thursday, April 17, and the private land owner is in the process of getting an eviction order.
Wycombe District Council spokesman, Catherine Spalton, said: “We are not actively involved in this matter at the moment, as we understand that the landowner was notified and is now in the process of getting an eviction order.
“We also know that the police were on site and spoke to the travellers who advised that they were here for a wedding in Uxbridge at the weekend and would then be moving on to Bedfordshire.”
