A WORLD-RECORD chasing Bucks woman has just one more volcano to climb to complete her challenge.

Sophie Cairns, is attempting to climb seven volcanoes in just four months, in memory of her late father.

Sophie has just climbed her sixth volcano, Mt. Damavand in Iran. At 5,671m, Mt. Damavand is the highest volcano in Asia.

She said: “By the time I got to the summit I was beyond euphoric – despite the sulphur billowing out from the top.”

"I have put so much love, sweat and tears into climbing all these volcanoes that I can’t believe it’s almost over,”

Sophie, 35, from Denham, is hoping to climb the highest volcano on every continent in just four months.

Originally from Hong Kong, Sophie has got just two more volcanoes to climb and has until April 28 to finish, if she wants to do it in four months, which would slash the previous record of a year.
