A RESIDENT was stabbed in the back after answering the door to his High Wycombe home.

Police said two men and a teenager knocked on the door of the Peatey Court property and pushed the 19-year-old resident back inside when he answered.

The resident sustained two minor stab wounds in his lower back during an altercation and was later taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

Police said no items were stolen from the property during the aggravated burglary, which took place at about 9pm on Tuesday.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Richard Earl said: “I would urge anyone with any information who hasn’t already contacted police to call us on 101.

“High Wycombe is a safe place to live, and I would reassure members of the public that incidents such as aggravated burglaries are rare.”
