A BURGLAR who kicked through a door to break into a house in High Wycombe but did not steal anything has been jailed.

Sakib Hussain, 21, of Whitelands Road, High Wycombe, forced entry to a property in Ash Road, High Wycombe, overnight between March 10 and 11.

He kicked a door panel at the rear of the house, which was unoccupied at the time, but did not take anything during the burglary.

Hussain was arrested on March 14 and charged the following day.

After pleading guilty to one count of burglary, Hussain received a 16 month prison sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday.

Investigating officer, Det Con Nathan Davey of Force CID said: “I am very pleased with the sentence Sakib has received and I hope this now brings closure to the owners of the house.

“Although nothing was stolen during this burglary, breaking into someone’s home and invading their personal space is a crime that deserves strong sentences.”
