A COUPLE have taken over a pub in Hazlemere and hope to make it even more child friendly.

Owen Reid and Lise Johansen are now running The Mayflower in Penn Road.

Owen, 54 is a professional entertainer, while Lise, 51, has given up being an accountant to take on the running of the pub.

It is the first time they will have run a pub together.

Owen said: "We were looking to buy a house. On Right Move this was the first one that came up.

"We want to make it more child friendly and have the bouncy castle and play things in one area, so it feels more secure."

They are going to start doing breakfasts and hold more variety nights and more entertainment.

The menu is going to stay the same but they will do specials.

Lise is from Denmark and the chef is from Poland, so they will do special menus based on these countries occasionally.

Father-of-three Owen, is a full-time children's and adult entertainer and party magician and appeared on ITV's Take Me Out last year.
