A SCHOOL in Gerrards Cross will celebrate its 90-year anniversary with a school reunion.

Thorpe House School for boys was opened in 1924 and will later this month celebrate 90 years of education.

The school in Oval Way will hold its anniversary day for all ‘old boys’ on Sunday, May 18.

School Headmaster, Anthony Lock, said: “We’re very excited about our anniversary event on May 18 as it not only marks 90 years of Thorpe House School and 50 years of Kingscote, but it also creates the opportunity to reunite old and present members of staff, governors and pupils.

“I am really looking forward to welcoming back four out of the surviving six former heads of the two schools and I know that the Old Boys’ cricket match will be a great attraction on the day.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to join us, so if any former parents and pupils are reading this, please spread the word to as many of your old Thorpe friends as you can.

“This will be a great opportunity to reminisce and catch-up with those you might not have seen for many years!”
