THE former owner of Mom’s Diner has not ruled out returning to High Wycombe with a new business venture after the eatery closed in March.

Steve Brown said the fire which tore through the diner in 2012 haunted the business after it briefly reopened in September, as customers who travelled in to town for the American-themed cuisine failed to return.

But the 31-year-old said he would like to make a return to the High Wycombe business scene in the future if the right opportunity arises.

Mr Brown said: “We lost a lot of custom to the fire. A lot of people that came in from out of town just for us have not come back. We didn’t have the money and the insurance process was a pain, so that was it.

“We are still going through the motions of officially closing it down but we wouldn’t rule out doing something in the future.

"Running a restaurant is a lot of hard work but the support we had was really good.”
