WAR veteran and High Wycombe legend Monty Seymour celebrates his 100th birthday this weekend.
The Second World War hero reaches the century milestone on Sunday, with dignitaries throwing a party for him at Adams Park.
Mr Seymour began his pharmaceutical career as an apprentice at Hughes' Chemist in 1931 before he eventually took full control in 1951.
He is a founding member of the High Wycombe Royal British Legion and president of both the RBL branch and Wycombe Wanderers.
Mr Seymour is also a member of the High Wycombe Guarantors, which is a group of working and retired businessmen who lay on a Christmas meal for the district’s oldest residents.
He was appointed an Honorary Burgees in 2002 - which is the highest honour the Mayor can hand out - for his outstanding service to the town.
