A WINSFORD author is still looking for local actors to complete the cast for a theatre adaptation of his acclaimed novel.
Winsford Academy will host the premiere of Wollyback – a stage version of Alan Fleet’s book of the same name.
“We had a good response to the casting call for our new play, but we are still not complete. It seems like the older men are rather shy. We need male actors aged late-thirties to early seventies to audition,” said Alan.
The novel tells the story of a difficult father-son relationship set against the backdrops of Winsford’s two generations – the older Over and Wharton residents and the younger so-called ‘Woollybacks’, who moved with the Merseyside overspill.
Additions will commence at 7.30pm, Wednesday May 14 in the new theatre at the Winsford Academy.
Interested actors should first contact Alan for a copy of the play and a list of characters at info@woollybackfilms.co.uk
