A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged after five people were injured during a shooting in Totteridge earlier this week.

The teenager from High Wycombe has been charged with common assault, conspiracy to cause GBH with intent and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so.

The charges have been made after an incident in the Lucas Wood area next to Underwood Road in High Wycombe on Sunday (11/5) night.

Five people were injured in the attack with three people suffering gunshot wounds.

Supt Ed McLean, Local Police Commander for Wycombe police area, said: “Following the shooting, we have charged a teenager and he has been remanded in custody.

“Three other people who were arrested previously in connection with this incident are on police bail.

“This continues to be a complex investigation and I would like to reassure members of the community that we are working to bring the offenders to justice.

“My officers continue to patrol the area to offer reassurance to residents, and I would encourage anyone with information about this incident to speak to them directly or to call 101.

“The injured person has now been released from hospital and is recovering at home.

“I would like to thank everyone for their support with this investigation so far.”

Three other teenagers who were arrested; a 16 year old, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, were bailed until 17 June.
